Overview

This Privacy Policy describes how "Geografacts" (the "App") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our mobile application. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our data practices.

Information We Collect

Offline Play — No Personal Information Collected

If you use the App without signing in, we do not collect, store, or transmit any personal information. The App does not require user accounts, email addresses, names, or any other personally identifiable information for offline play.

Online / Multiplayer Play (Opt-In)

The App offers an optional online multiplayer feature. If you choose to sign in with Apple or Google to play online, we collect and store the following on our servers:

• Account Identifier: Your Apple ID or Google account identifier (a unique ID from Apple/Google — not your email or password)
• Display Name: The name you provide when signing in
• Avatar URL: Your profile picture URL from Apple or Google, if provided
• Game Statistics: Wins, losses, draws, streaks, total points, and games played on the leaderboard
• Match History: Per-round move data from online matches
• Device Token: A push notification token so we can alert you when it's your turn (stored until you sign out or request deletion)

Online play is entirely opt-in — you must explicitly choose to sign in with Apple or Google. If you do not sign in, none of this data is collected.

Offline Game Data

• Player Names: Names entered for offline gameplay are stored locally on your device only and are never transmitted to our servers
• Game Progress: All offline game progress, scores, and preferences are stored locally on your device
• No App Analytics by Us: We do not collect analytics, usage statistics, or behavioral data ourselves; however, third-party advertising networks may collect ad-related identifiers as described below in the Advertising section

Device Information

The App does not access or collect device-specific information such as device IDs, location data, contacts, photos, or other device content.

Third-Party Services

Advertising

The App may display advertisements provided by third-party advertising networks. Depending on your choices and platform permissions (for example, Apple's App Tracking Transparency), advertising behavior is as follows:

• If you grant tracking permission (ATT) on iOS: the App may access your device's advertising identifier (IDFA) to provide personalized ads and measure ad performance.
• If you deny tracking permission: the App will not access the Advertising Identifier and will serve non-personalized ads instead; advertising networks may still use contextual or aggregated signals that do not identify you personally.

• You can opt out of personalized advertising in your device settings.

On iOS, the app includes a prompt to request permission to track (ATT). If you allow tracking, the advertising identifier may be used to provide personalized ads. If you decline, ads will be less personalized.

Google AdMob and Third-Party Advertising: We use Google Mobile Ads (AdMob) to display advertisements. AdMob and other third-party advertising partners may collect certain information from your device, such as advertising identifiers (for example, the IDFA on iOS or the Android Advertising ID), app usage and ad interaction data (for example, which ads you view or click), and diagnostic or device information (for example, device model and OS version). This information is used to provide and improve advertising (including personalized ads), measure ad performance, and prevent fraud. In-App Purchases

The App offers an optional in-app purchase to remove advertisements:

• Purchase Processing: All purchases are processed through Apple's App Store
• Payment Information: We do not collect or store any payment information - all transactions are handled securely by Apple
• Purchase Restoration: Purchases can be restored on your devices using Apple's built-in restoration mechanism
• No Subscription: The ad-free purchase is a one-time, non-consumable purchase
• Refunds: Refund requests are handled by Apple according to their refund policy

Data Storage and Security

Offline Play — Local Storage Only

If you play offline, all your game data (player names, preferences, scores) is stored exclusively on your device and is never uploaded to external servers or shared with third parties.

Online Play — Server Storage

If you sign in for online play, your account data and game statistics are stored on our servers (Cloudflare D1, a cloud database operated by Cloudflare, Inc.). Your data is protected by JWT-authenticated API access — only you can read or modify your own account data.

Data Security

For offline-only users, there are no personal data security risks associated with our servers. For online users, we take reasonable technical measures to protect your data; however, no internet transmission or storage system is 100% secure. Your local game data is also protected by your device's built-in security features.

Your Rights and Choices

Offline Users

If you have only used the App offline, there is no personal data on our systems to access, modify, or delete.

Online Users — Data Rights

If you have signed in for online play, you have the right to access, correct, or delete your data. To request deletion of your account and all associated data (stats, match history, device tokens), please contact us at [email protected]. We will process deletion requests within 30 days. An in-app account deletion option is planned for a future update.

Local Data Management

You can clear all local game data by:

• Deleting and reinstalling the App
• Using your device's app data clearing functionality

Advertising Choices

You can control personalized advertising through your device settings:

• iOS: Settings > Privacy & Security > Apple Advertising > Personalized Ads
• Android: Settings > Google > Ads > Opt out of Ads Personalization

Children's Privacy

Offline play: The App is suitable for users of all ages, including children under 13. Offline play does not collect any personal information, and we comply with children's privacy protection requirements including COPPA (Children's Online Privacy Protection Act) for offline use.

Online play: Online multiplayer requires signing in with an Apple ID or Google account. Apple and Google require users to be at least 13 years old to create an account. Children under 13 should not use the online multiplayer feature. Parents and guardians are responsible for monitoring their children's use of online features.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make changes:

• The "Last Updated" date will be revised
• Significant changes will be communicated through App Store updates
• Continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of the updated policy
